You will be responsible for running the test in the field, must know how to set up the devices, iOS set up, and have good problem solving skills You will run the test for GNSS/GPS – drive test, fitness test, after the tests are complete you will come back to the office and do analysis of the tests, dump all the logs, do post processing and looking into some of the issues that come out of those logs.
You must have GNSS or GPS experience. Able to view GPS position yield, basic tests, look at the horizontal errors, how off is your position from actual route, these are the basic things we want for the bug report, these are the basic things we want for the bug report, this is first level analysis.
During the work week, you will be 2-3 days in the field and 2-3 days doing post analysis in the office. The tests in the field may take up the entire day if non-local trips, otherwise can be in the field a few hours a day.
Transportation is provided with security. You will be a passenger in a van and running the scripts and commands, stay with the device until the tests are done. If the tests break, must be able to debug and fix on the spot. You will run standalone tests/tools that run with clicking a button to start and stop the test. If there is an issue, then the script must be ran and the scripts are in python and shell. You will NOT modify the script but must be able to run the script.
We are seeking several Connectivity Engineers with GNSS/GPS (preferred) or NFC/UWB
Field testing experience in wireless technologies: GNSS/GPS (preferred) or NFC/UWB
Experience in device configuration, log collection, first level analysis and report generation.
Good understanding of how to set up the devices, excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good problem-solving skills and able to drive multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Able to travel local and non-local in short notice
Nice to have- basic scripting experience (MATLAB/Python/shell)
Duration: 12-24 months
