Embedded Linux Kernel, Firmware Engineer for Global Company in San Jose, CA

Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize firmware for embedded platforms to interface embedded products
• Write quality C code to ensure firmware meets or exceeds key success for latency, memory usage and power consumption
• Ability to develop tests, processes and infrastructure to continuously validate the robustness and responsiveness of the firmware

Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience of extensive embedded firmware development
• Strong embedded Linux software development skills C programming with embedded devices
• Experience writing Linux device drivers and Linux kernel programming
• Experience working with proprietary communication protocols
• Good working knowledge of hardware peripherals (SPI, UART, I2C, timers, interrupts and DMA &, connectivity: Bluetooth Smart / BLE and Bluetooth, USB)
• 3+ years working with various protocols
• 3+ years’ experience with C++ programming would be a plus
• Experience working with early stage prototyping platforms
• Experience working with small teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, EE or related technical discipline
