Japanese/English Simultaneous Interpreter for Global Automotive Team (Work from Home)

Responsibilities:
• Seeking an experienced Japanese/English Simultaneous Interpreter (both directions: Japanese to English and English to Japanese)
• It is critical that both your Japanese and English be smooth and easy to understand. You will likely be assigned to either morning shift or evening shift.
• You will provide accurate simultaneous interpretation for Japanese Automotive R&D meetings during any hours required by teams and accurately and quickly translate written documents as needed.
• For most meetings during the day, you will be combined with another interpreter. As such, you will need to be a good team player in working with whoever you are paired with. However, when it is very busy, you might have to interpret on your own for long periods of time.
• For the above reasons and more, this job requires that you have a high level of stamina, focus and energy.

Working from Home during COVID
• You will provide simultaneous interpretation from home during Covid era.
• The equipment will be shipped to your home or you may pick up at the corporate office in Raymond, Ohio.
• We will give you the instructions on how to set up the interpretation equipment at home and some other manuals as well as Company terminology.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 year experience in Japanese/English simultaneous interpretation.
• Requires a related BS/BA degree in language or closely related degree

Location: Work from Home in the U.S.

Duration: 6-12+ months
