Senior CFD Engineer (Computational Fluid Dynamics) for Formula & Indy Racing Team *REMOTE*

Responsibilities include:
• Create simple autom. post-processing and analysis of results of CFD (based on Ansys Ensight)
• Create ‘best practices’ manual for meshing for CFD (based on Ansys Mosaic meshing)
• Generate good y+=1 meshes for Qualifying

Competencies:
• Excellent understanding of CFD physical models and numerical algorithms
• Excellent understanding of importance of spatial discretization (CFD meshing) for CFD accuracy and efficiency
• Improving CFD process through scripting and automatization
• Knowledge of Linux scripting and Python will be beneficial
• Good understanding of statistical methods applied to validation of CFD results with experimental data

Requirements:
• Masters or PhD in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
• Thesis in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics or Aerodynamics/Thermodynamics

Experience:
• Min. 5 years of hands-on CFD work in a professional engineering environment
• Min. 3 years of working with large commercial tools, e.g. Ansys Fluent, Siemens Star-CCM, EXA PowerFLOW, Altair AcuSolve
• Experience in working with post-processing tools (Ensight) would be beneficial
• Experience in working with CFD vendors support and developers would be beneficial
• Experience in general motorsport aerodynamics would be beneficial
