Senior Linux DevOps Java/Python, Groovy (OOD) REST API Engineer

Responsibilities
• Design and implement the CICD pipeline following the best industry practices using open source tools
• Must be able to effectively generate RPMs, OVA, Docker images with the build artifacts
• Support and work collaboratively with the development team in enabling their productivity by deploying test instances to simulate real production environment
• Manage production infrastructure and deployments
• Complete production operations with security scan, auto-scaling, monitoring, failure detection, alerts, self-healing

Must Have Skillsets:
• 8+ years’ experience in entire SDLC, CI/CD tools, configuration & release management, deployments and troubleshooting in cloud environments
• Hands-on experience to create and enhance Makefiles
• Strong experience in object-oriented programming in either Java, Python, Groovy OR Perl
• Experience with REST APIs, Json, XML
• Strong experience with Linux systems and shell scripting
• Thorough knowledge of Git and code branching/merging strategies for multiple active release streams for the same product
• Experience in build and release automation using Jenkins or similar tools and related plug-ins
• Ability to utilize Confluence and Jira for project usually executed using Agile methodology
• Expertise in build and release tools such as Maven, Ant, Gradle

Desired Skillsets:
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and Artifactory are highly desirable
• Experience with Ansible and other similar automation tools
• Experience with JIRA JQL and CLI
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office APIs and G Suite APIs
