Senior SQL Database Developer for a Top Financial company in Foster City, Ca.

Summary

The Senior Database Developer will work closely with internal and external clients and other members of the Engineering development team to gather requirements, design, develop, maintain, and support the business applications that implement the company’s strategic business plans. This role will work on database related projects and will also be responsible for aiding other engineers with technical issues.

Responsibilities
• Write stored procedures, triggers, DTS/SSIS packages, and other database objects to implement business logic
• Create, enhance and maintain Windows and web-based database driven business applications
• Collect functional requirements
• Develop technical specifications
• Write, test, and debug application systems and processes
• Implement and deploy application systems and processes
• Perform maintenance and enhancement of existing application systems and processes
• Perform database-related code reviews

Required Skillsets
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a senior engineering role for Database projects and Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science
• 4+ years of SQL coding experience, including the creation of table, views, stored procedures, triggers, and DTS/SSIS packages
• 4+ years of working experience with the latest versions of SQL Server
• 4+ years of database performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise
• 4+ years of strong T-SQL experience
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in the implementation and support of complex, high availability database applications

Nice to have Skillsets
• Experience with Oracle is a plus
• Familiarity with database administration is a plus
• Experience with Onyx or other CRM applications preferred
