Python QA Automation Engineer for Consumer Device company in Cupertino, CA.

Responsibilities:

Will join Product Testing Team
Responsible for software testing for tools
Work with automation scripts and debug them
Heavily based on software testing (manual) on different wireless technologies such as cellular, GNSS, 911, etc
Will do testing on the hardware and exercise wireless technologies
A bulk of the testing is manual on the automation tools and we evaluate the tools. You will do manual testing and running tests for hours. We have a framework that reviews the logs for the engineers but engineer must run the manual tests and debug.
All scripts are in python. Knowledge of python is required but you will NOT go in and fix anything in python. Your focus is on the manual testing.

Requirements

Excellent QA and Manual Testing skills.
Good knowledge of first level debugging and white box testing.
Good Unix fundamentals knowledge.
Scripting knowledge in Python.
Good knowledge of test planning & test phases.
Good communication skills.

Desired Skillsets:

Knowledge of iOS and macOS internals is a plus
Knowledge of cellular technologies is a plus

Location: Cupertino, CA (onsite)
