Job Description:
Field Design Engineers for a Global Consumer Device company in Cupertino, CA.
Responsibilities:
You will test cellular technologies in the field, perform log analysis and debug issues.
You will be driven to locations up to 1 hour from the Cupertino Lab to test cellular technologies of nex-gen devices.
You will work 4 days in the field, 1 day in the lab per work week.
Transportation/Driver/Security will be provided.
During peak season (Summer) you will hike in parks to test cellular technologies (1-2 days per month).
During peak season (Summer) you will travel to locations in the West coast and mid-West once ever 2 months for a 1-week trips.
You will communicate if there is a technical issue and have strong fundamental skills and judgement skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, analytical, able to work independently.
Travel for work up to 50% (domestic travel)
Requirements:
Candidates should have 1-3years’ experience with end to end testing of cellular technologies that includes test plan preparation, field testing, log analysis & debugging issues
Field testing experience with cellular, Wi-Fi or bluetooth
Must be able for walks in city limits and hike outdoors while perform field testing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, and analytical
Travel for work up to 50% (domestic travel)
Able to travel locally and non-locally up two weeks per month during peak seasons.
If you have lab experience only and want to do field testing, this is an option.
Preferred qualifications:
Scripting skills in Python
Locations: Cupertino CA (onsite with occasional travel in the US)
