Job Description:
Summary:

The team is looking for a highly motivated individual with background in creation and execution of comprehensive test suites and identification of potential failure modes. Candidate will be responsible for developing & executing novel test methodologies to validate the robustness of products/sub-assemblies, materials, and supplier technology. Additionally, the candidate will lead failure analysis to establish root cause and corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

Preparing concise and detailed test plans and test reports with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks to meet challenging deadlines.
Developing new reliability tests procedures and specifications
Analyzing experimental data to provide in-depth understanding of design features.
Researching state-of-the-art technology to understand root causes of test failures.
Providing design direction to multi-functional teams to improve product reliability.
Interacting with a diverse and hardworking group of team members to communicate results and provide program direction.

Requirements:

Developing and performing environmental and mechanical stress tests including shock, drop, and vibration.
Failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, x-ray or CT scans, scanning electron microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
Fundamental failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failure.
Knowledge of industry test standards from JEDEC, ASTM, and IEEE.
Application of Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Physical Sciences.
Extraordinary problem-solving abilities with strong attention to the fine details.
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills for audiences ranging from technicians to senior VPs.
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects at once. At times, completing tests and resolving problems in an unattended manner based on your leadership.

Ability to travel unrestricted.

Preferred Skillsets:

4+ years of experience in a related field or industry
B.S. or M.S Engineering degree
