Job Description:
Lab Technician, Test Engineer for Global Device Company
Responsibilities
• Computer (PC & Mac) setup and maintenance (OS installation, network installations, virus protection, etc.)
• Receive and log test equipment
• Track/order/inventory of Laboratory consumables
• Procurement and inventory of electronic parts and tools
• Support test equipment calibration cycles working with equipment vendors
• RF Test execution when required during extensive testing campaigns
• Rework of small components (0201 and 01005 sizes) on printed circuit boards, soldering of connectors onto traces on circuit boards, form factor disassembly and assembly
Required Experience & Skills
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and TCP/IP networking
• Must have experience working in an environment that includes RF conducted and radiated testing
• Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to details and ability to multitask across various projects and tasks
• Experience procuring and keeping inventory of electronic parts, tools, and laboratory consumables
• Experience with soldering of components onto multilayer printed circuit boards
• Familiarity with RF instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
Desired Experience & Skills
• Mac OS familiarity
• Experience / knowledge of current cellular technologies and test equipment
• Experience designing and assembling test fixtures and jigs
Education
• Associate degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of relevant experience
Locations: Cupertino CA (onsite)
Duration: 6+ months
Pay Range: $50-$60/h (DOE)
